This plant dyed wool embroidery floss is soft to the touch but durable and strong, making it ideal for wool embroidery, Swiss darning (sweater mending), needlepoint, cross stitch, weaving and beyond. It is a two ply fine gauge yarn with two separable strands making it versatile as the individual strands can both be used for finer work. Each set comes with an optional needle set which includes a darning and embroidery needle (two needles in each set) for this gauge floss.

Each skein of plant dyed wool thread comes with a tag that is designed to be immediately reused as a thread card to keep your wool thread stored. You can add a floss ring to your order which is design to perfectly fit your floss cards.

Stuart Moores Textiles' plant dyed embroidery flosses are hand dyed in the SMT dye studios using centuries old dyeing techniques. Each color is created from a combination of natural dyes that have stood the test of time and are selected for their proven lightfast and wash fast qualities. Creating these colors from start to finish is a weeks long process. Each set is one of a kind and very special indeed.

Dyed by hand using 100% natural plant dyes, in the SMT dye studio in Maryland.

NOTE: This product is naturally dyed, by hand using only natural dyes. Due to the nature of organic, non-synthetic dyeing, uneven coloration may be present in naturally dyed items. Store in a dark place and use eco friendly (pH neutral) soap.
