This listing is for one 5 yard skein of embroidery floss in traditional 6-stranded, 100% cotton over-dyed DMC embroidery floss.  This soft cotton embroidery floss is great for embroidery, needlepoint, cross stitch, and much more.

Stuart Moores Textiles' plant dyed embroidery flosses are hand dyed in the SMT dye studios in Maryland using centuries old dyeing techniques.  Each color is created from a combination of natural plant, insect, and mineral dyes that have stood the test of time and are selected for their proven lightfast and wash fast qualities.  Creating these colors from start to finish is a weeks long process.  Each color is one of a kind and very special indeed.    

Each skein comes on a card that was designed to act as a floss holder. You can add a solid brass floss ring to your order to hold multiple floss cards. You can also add a needle set of two needles (one for embroidery, one for darning/needlepoint/cross stitch) which comes on a card that can also be carried on the floss ring. A needle threader is included with the purchase of a needle set.

Care: To keep this floss looking its absolute best over the years, store out of direct sunlight. If you plan on washing this floss, always use cold water and mild soap. Air dry out of sun.
