Class Fee "Historical Stitches: Intro to Wool Embroidery" with SMT Plant Dyed Wool Embroidery Floss
Spend a relaxing afternoon learning the basics of wool embroidery (or crewel wool embroidery) with Stuart Moores Textiles plant dyed wool embroidery floss. We will cover all of the stitching techniques necessary to create a small embroidered motif inspired by 18th century wool embroidery. Each student with receive all of the materials needed to create the motif in class as well as a pattern and all of the materials needed to make a large embroidered pin keep (pictured) at home.
Included in your class fee is:
(6) 20 yard skeins of SMT wool plant dyed embroidery floss
(4) 10 yard skeins of SMT wool plant dyed embroidery floss
(4) Floss card holders
(2) Premium linen stitching cloth cuts approx. 14" x 14" each
(1) Premium linen stitching cloth (14” x 14”) with pattern transferred
(1) Needle set of two wool embroidery floss needles
(1) Solid brass floss card holder with a screw closure
(1) Frixion pen
(1) Card of white sewing thread
(1) Paper copy of the biscornu pattern top and bottom
(1) Paper copy of sample biscornu pattern
(1) 10" Hardwicke Monor embroidery hoop (very high quality hoop)
(1) cotton stuffing bag
